I founded Convey Wealth Management as a solo firm, so I can personally handle every aspect of client service. This hands-on approach allows me to provide the personalized attention that every client deserves.

My career in the financial services industry spans over 27 years, with 15 of those years spent at Fidelity and the remainder with other firms. During my career, I spent a great deal of time working with nonprofit and public sector clients who profoundly shaped my approach to financial planning through their dedication to caring for others. These mission-driven professionals were an inspiration to me and reinforced my own commitment to service.

What drives me most is helping people and empowering them to reach both their short-term and long-term goals. In many cases, the issues we're addressing have been on their "to-do" lists for months or even years, creating ongoing anxiety. Helping them remove that burden so they can focus on what they truly love is incredibly rewarding. I meet people exactly where they are and customize my approach to ensure they receive what they need in a way that makes them comfortable.

Having led hundreds of live workshops, I have a strong ability to explain complex financial topics in an understandable manner. I love using anecdotes, real-life examples, or an analogy that suits a client's interests in music, movie, or sports. This personalized approach extends to my professional affiliations as well – I'm a member of both NAPFA (the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors) and the Fee Only Network. Beyond providing personalized attention to my clients, I'm passionate about professional mentorship and have the privilege of teaching financial planning at UCLA. Sharing knowledge with the next generation of financial professionals is something I find deeply fulfilling.

I take great care in building a proactive tax strategy for each client. I have found there is a great need for this critically important aspect of planning because CPAs concentrate primarily on filing returns rather than planning for the future. To enhance my expertise in this area, I obtained my Enrolled Agent designation from the IRS in 2017, building on the Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®) designation I earned in 2003. I also completed my MBA at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst in 2010.

I live in Los Angeles with my wife Suzanne and our 11-year-old son. As two Boston-born Gen X-ers, my wife and I encourage our son to appreciate what he calls "old school" and "retro" culture. We are raising him to root for his home team (Go, Dodgers) but he roots for our home team too. (Go, Red Sox) When I'm not working, I'm an avid baseball fan and love to read. I also enjoy traveling, going to movies and concerts, and volunteering at my son’s school.
